A serious weekly writers group intended to encourage the writer to adopt a daily writing practice and to use the meetup group as a support group for feedback, an escape from isolation and with oppprtunities to publish once completed the manuscript or project.

Are you committed to writing? We are looking for serious wordsmiths to join our critique group located in Montgomery County, Maryland. We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 7pm in Olney, MD, at the Harris Teeter. Our meetings are about two hours in length. We have writers of different experience levels working in speculative, young adult, and dark fiction. We try to include a writing prompt at the end of every meeting.

The SWG has been around for over twenty years, but is just now catching up with this "Meetup" technology.(LOL!) Our group consists of writers at all levels of writing experience. Our meetings are held on the first Saturday (at 11:00 a.m.), the third Saturday (at 11:00 a.m.), and the fourth Tuesday (at 7:00 p.m.) of each month.
