We meet monthly to give each other feedback and encouragement as we try to pursue publication for our writings. Members submit their writing one week prior to the meeting so that others can prepare written feedback that contains both positive comments and suggestions for improvement. Mocha Scribes is committed to promoting writers of color or writers who wish to tell stories based on characters of color.  If you have a sitcom, drama, feature film, web series, short film, show treatment—then you need to be in this group.  We meet twice monthly and at each meeting we focus on one writer’s submitted work.  The group provides helpful and encouraging comments to move the screenwriter’s work from the page to the screen.

This group is for people aiming to become screenwriters for television or movies. We have meetings twice a month, with half of the meetings devoted to feature (or short film) scripts and half devoted to television scripts.
