Let's get together and write! The Visalia Writers group meets up after work at coffee shops to discuss writing, share our writing, and just sit down and write. All skill-levels are invited, amateur or professional.

Do you want to explore creative and expressive writing and mindfulness? Our writing workshops let you experiment with poetry, journaling, meditation, and more. Both experienced and aspiring writers will enjoy this small, supportive community. Sessions include instruction, inspiration, writing exercises, sharing and discussion. This meetup is a way for people to know about a newly formed writing/critique group. We meet on the second and fourth Saturday every month.  For September, we have a temporary meeting location at DeVry University, 7575 North Fresno Street (map). We otherwise meet at the Fresno County Main Library. We meet at 11:00 AM and adjourn at 1:00 PM. this is a group for people that want to play, learn, and explore jazz together....regardless of instrument and still level.....we can meet and play and work on tunes that suit players level of skill and interest and enjoy this incredibly rich world of harmony and rhythm together. if people are interested there are a number of local venues where small groups can also play in pubic to share their joy of music.
