Beware, beware, beware.

Some sites you post on turn out owning the net-copy...watchout for that. Also, before you send it to anyone *just saying, not sure if you've done it or not,* but make sure it is in the best condition it can be and that you have the copywrite. If you have done all of those things, getting hold of agents isn't really that hard. There are alot of books out that list who and where they are, what formats and styles they read and how you should go about sending them your work. I would check with those first before going onward...a good guideline to go by is this "you only have one shot, make it your best."

I am not aware of any place to go. I believe you will have to get an agent before you can get information about publishers. I also believe you will need to send a hard copy with a synopsis.

What: The Atlanta Writers Meetup

Who should come: Any one interested in learning new and different ways of writing. You will alsobe able to read your works for critiquing and helpful ideas.

Why: We will be able to meet with other writers and hopefully help those that are blocked or need another point of view.

Event Description: This meeting will consist of writing,critiquing works from various members. In order to make this meeting work we need writer's that are serious about their writing and want help to make it better. All genres of writing will be welcome.
