The Pasadena Fiction Writers Group June Meeting

Greetings Writers!

THANKS to everyone for continuing to support the Pasadena Fiction Writers Group!

Our June date has changed from June 3 to June 10.

Please take a moment to re-read our guidelines, as some changes have been made:

1) One week prior to our next meeting we will email the entire group our pages (work in progress, completed, etc). Prose writers may email 8-10 double spaced pages (or 4-5 single spaced) and script writers may email 15-20 pages. ***NOTE: at the discretion of the writer--he/she will determine if their work is better suited for out-loud/cold reading or private/advance reading.

2) Each member is responsible for printing and critiquing what they receive via email.

3) During our scheduled meeting we will read what we feel comfortable with (no more than the pages submitted). Re-reading material (sent via email) during group should be restricted to work that is in final editing stages. If time becomes an issue we'll keep track of who read and who didn't for the following meeting.

In an effort to track all stories sent via email, an email list showing all stories sent [via email] will be forwarded to members attending. This list will be sent no later than noon on the Monday prior to our Tuesday meeting.

For those that have joined this group but can't make weekdays--sit tight, a weekend day may just open up. Currently, we're also considering outside (SIG) groups. Feel free to email me with any ideas/suggestions.

Meeting room logistics: we're meeting at a public library and will need to vacate the premises no later than 9pm. Food and drinks are acceptable so long as they leave with you or in the trash.

FIRST TIME MEMBERS:: Don't panic, you haven't been left off a list, access to our infamous email list happens when you show up for the first time, and the group can connect a face to a name. Mostly for security reasons.
