Thanks to everyone that participated in our 2nd meeting---awesome job!
Our January date has changed from Jan. 1 to Jan. 8. Please plan on beginning at 6pm. Listed below are the guidelines we agreed to:
1) One week prior to our next meeting we will email the entire group our pages (work in progress, completed, etc). Prose writers may email 5-6 pages and script writers may email up to 15 pages. ***NOTE: at the discretion of the writer--he/she will determine if their work is better suited for out-loud/cold reading or private/advance reading.
2) Each member is responsible for printing and critiquing what they receive via email.
3) During our scheduled meeting we will read what we feel comfortable with (no more than the pages submitted). Re-reading material (sent via email) during group should be restricted to work that is in final editing stages. If time becomes an issue we'll keep track of who read and who didn't for the following meeting.
For those that have joined this group but can't make weekdays--sit tight, a weekend day may just open up. Currently, we're also considering outside (SIG) groups. Feel free to email me with any ideas/suggestions.
Meeting room logistics: we're meeting at a public library and will need to vacate the premises no later than 9pm. Food and drinks are acceptable so long as they leave with you or in the trash.
