SEOUL WRITERS' COLLECTIVE -- a literary, pot-luck soup kitchen for writers. We exist to support, encourage, and re-energize the poets, yarn-spinners, scribes and storytellers that wander through the streets of Seoul, looking for that one -- creative -- spark.
SWC serves the literary community of Seoul and Korea in three main ways:
1) Workshops, where writers can receive honest, but constructive feedback on works in any genre. Information on workshop procedure is available in our "About" page, after joining.
2) Open Mic performances, where writers can present their works in front of a supportive, nurturing audience. Most open mics are held at Tony's Aussie Bar and Bistro, "The Home of The SWC," in Itaewon.
3) A repository and calendar of events and opportunities for writers around Seoul. We maintain a mailing list and online calendar, including an RSS feed.
SWC is not just a self-contained organization; we cross-pollinate with other writing and creative groups in Korea. If your organization offers opportunities for writers, please let us know by dropping a line to spetches@hotmail.com, or to any of our organizers. We'll get your organization and events on our calendar.

What members are saying
“ I am assuming there will be more artist mingles. This is a good group to network with young, seemingly upward mobile trendy types in Bundang. ...
”
“ Coz this place is for the real artists, hardcore performers and people who wanna express their views and have some fun. Run by artists for the artists. ”
