Shut Up and Write

This group will meet and write regularly together for an hour or so in some public location(s). By write, we mean just write; not critique, not workshop, not talk about writing (although we can do that as well, before or after we write). The concept: provide regular times and places for writing for people who may have trouble finding or making such a place, to keep us doing it regularly, and to keep us motivated without having too much ego or competition enter into it. (The idea is much like that behind the Red Room Writer's Studio (http://www.red-ro... ), except free. It doesn't matter what you write: memoir, poetry, essays, law review articles, novels, journalism, recipes for organic five-spice hemp toothpaste are all OK. Any age, gender, sexual orientation, or experience level welcomed, from writing newbies to professionals, as long as you are serious about writing regularly, the concept appeals to you, and you are not too flaky or weird (i.e., if you're working on your Unibomber-copycat screed, then never mind). You may wish to attend every meetup, or float in and out as is convenient for you.
