Who organized?

Saturday, June 14th, we will not be meeting at Borders. We won't be critiquing anyone's writing, either. We are meeting at the Schaumburg Library just before 10 a.m. to attend AuthorFest.

Gottawritenetwork.com's AuthorFest is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The schedule is below.

Denise Fleischer, the woman who has organized the event, told me, "There's probably room for 100 people. This is an excellent way to learn from those who are already published. Both mystery and romance authors are attending. There will be books sold, autographed and free books given away during a raffle."

The schedule is:

Who attended?

    •  Who doesn't love a field trip. As a group, we attended the Gotta Write Authorfest at the Schaumburg Public Library. Our own Emily, presented on small press and E-books, and also on a panel of Romance writers. Over 30 authors attended, sold books, spoke on panels and the all day event, 10-4, with a nice break for lunch was fairly well attended. What did I take away from this meeting? I need to keep writing and reach for that distant galaxy of Publishing Land. Also, I need to start a website, join writer's groups, historical societies, etc, to develope a strong presence online, for when I do publish. Grins, and I will.
