About The Wilmington Write to Publish Group

Our group is dedicated to helping and encouraging one another as writers.

Our specific focus is getting your writing polished enough so that it's publishable, and then helping you to publish your work. My personal goal as organizer is to enable anyone who wants to get published the ability to have your book in print within 6 months.

There are three foundational purposes for the group. 1) To organize small critique groups (4-5 people) for writers who would like regular feedback for their writing. 2) To guide writers who have a completed manuscript in getting published through traditional publishers, literary agents, or by self-publishing. 3) To establish bookstore events and public speaking engagements for self-published and small-press-published authors.

Our plan is to have our main meeting bi-monthly. Depending on the response, we may have critique groups meeting more frequently. For the critique groups, I'll need assistant organizers to lead. Contact me, if you're interested in leading a critique group.
