We are a fun and supportive group of writers living in and around Northern Virginia. All skill levels and all types of writing are represented: novels, poetry, lyrics, short stories, non-fiction, children's stories, and more!

We meet every Wednesday at 7pm at the Barnes & Noble in Clarendon Commons. Meetings generally last about 2 hours and are either sessions designed to provide feedback on members' work, or a workshop session aimed at a specific element of writing.

Check the Calendar and the About Us tabs for details.

Come by and check it out, or email us for more information. We don't bite.

As of June 1, 2007 we will ask each member to contribute $5 annually.

The money will first go to the annual maintenance of the Meetup Site ($144/year). "Extra" funds will either carry over to future year's costs OR be used to throw a party for the group or present awards. The group will decide.

Once a new member joins he will have 2 months to try the group on for size before being required to pay dues. If after 2 months, a member has not paid, they will be removed from the group.

Thanks!

What members are saying

The world of a writer is a solitary place. This group is like going to a block party and meeting people who have lived next door for years. ...

The constant addition of new people makes for a very unique, dynamic meeting.
