Introduction: Hi! My name is Anne. I work for a game company up in Denton, TX, and it's through them that I've managed my only published work. I'm a lover of genre fiction, high fantasy especially, and it's in that direction that my writing tends to take me!
How would you like to grow as a writer?: I'm seeking to finish my first novel set in my own fantasy world, and from there to finish the others in the planned series. Ambitious? But I need to start taking my writing seriously, and devoting time to it in proportion to its importance to me.
Who is your favorite author? book?: Gosh, too many to name. Two books which have helped me get to this point on my writing are Stephen King's "On Writing" and Paulo Cuehlo's "The Alchemist". Both inspiring reading! Genre-wise, Stephen Brust, Neil Gaiman, and C.J. Cherryh are favs.
What would you like out of a writing group?: I'm hoping contributing to this group and communicating with other writers will help to keep me focused on my own novel-in-progress, which I'm seriously working on for the first time in years. :)
What do you write?: Genre fiction is my love! Fantasy especially, with a definite lean toward high/heroic fantasy.
