Introduction

Just moved into Philly a few weeks ago after graduating from Virginia Tech, and I'd really love to get involved in a writers group to keep me on track w/ my writing, get feedback, and read other writers' work.

What is your favorite writing saying?

What is your favorite book on writing?

I've read a bunch, but my favorite would have to be a really good anthology--Short Fiction. I get more out of reading other people's writings than out of reading writerly advice.

What do you write?

Magical Realism. Creative Non-Fiction essays about my love for David Bowie.

What do you read?

I've been practically inhaling all of the Magical Realism I can get my hands on; I am in love with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, and Salman Rushdie. But I have guilty pleasures like Harry Potter and historical fictions about Tudor England.

Tell me something else about yourself, please?

I'm just an all around artsy fart. I love writing, singing opera, pretending to be a decent photographer, and ogling the world.
