I just moved here from DC, and I'm eager to find a good group of writers to share ideas with!

What do you write?
I'm working on my first novel. (I've made various attempts to write a novel since I was 8 years old. I'm determined to finish this time.) I guess the best way to classify the genre would be...literary fantasy? Or maybe magical realism.
What do you read?
Everything. Most recently: Naguib Mahfouz, "Palace Walk"; Salman Rushdie, "Shame"; Neil Gaiman, "Coraline"; Aaron Copland, "What to Listen for in Music."
