Who organized?

Screenwriter's Feedback has been formed in order to provide aspiring screenwriters a community of peers willing to provide support in the writing process and insightful feedback that will advance the writer on his or her journey.

E.A. Cross will lead this group on a bi-weekly basis.

Building Our Community

All attendees who will be attending their first meeting please email E.A. Cross your email address so that he can send you the upcoming agenda. This agenda will include an outline of the upcoming event. Each event is primarily composed of two elements: The craft of screenwriting and peer feedback. Each attendee, in order for the group to work, must be willing to provide feedback to those writers who are listed in the agenda. Also, each writer who is listed on the agenda receiving feedback must attend the meeting so that the work your group members put into reading and evaluating your material can be communicated to you as intended.

The primary way to let our group know that you will be attending the next group meeting is to visit the site and RSVP ‘Yes’. You can also email E.A. Cross directly if there are any concerns or any information that needs to be conveyed but for some reason wouldn’t be appropriate via the site. Each week each member must RSVP their intention for the meeting. If you are on the agenda but can’t attend the meeting that’s fine; please inform E.A. Cross ASAP so that he can amend the agenda and possibly move someone up on the submission list or plan for another event to compensate for the missing.

Once you attend one meeting and list your name and email in a log, you will receive the agenda and all submissions. At the end of each meeting you will have the opportunity to submit your work. A note about submissions: Whatever stage your story is in is sufficient for submission - from a story idea to a developed narrative in any medium - all we will need is for you to send your submission in a word rich text format (rtf) or PDF file.

The goal is to have a draft completed, properly formatted, therefore, it’s advised that you invest in a screenwriting program. It isn’t required, of course. Feel free to discuss a few options when you attend a meeting. E.A. Cross is willing to work with anyone to make sure this is accomplished for all group members.

I got a phone call from a friend I haven't seen in years last night. She will be in Lansdale for the weekend and holiday, but will be busy with family things (visiting nearby relatives) and may be able to get together with me sometime Sunday. I'm trying for Monday, but that might not work. Therefore, look for me only if you see me coming. If I don't make it, hope it's a great meeting!

Who attended?

    •  Excellent, very useful. Good group of people as well.
    •  Everyone was very open in exploring storytelling and receiving feedback. A pure pleasure to meet a few new members and I truly hope they were inspired by our experience.

I enjoyed all the scripts. Can wait to see what's next.
    •  E.A. is a terrific group leader. Organized and focused. We critiqued 3 screenplay exerts which were all surprisingly well written.
