“ I think Julius did a very good job and had some very practical exercises. I don't think some of the attendees grasped what the purpose of the exercise was. The meeting place was tolerable with the size of the group but the music made it difficult to hear. I can't really complain, though, because it is difficult to find a place for groups to meet for free. For the members who read this, if you don't understand the purpose of an exercise, don't hesitate to ask. This is part of the learning curve of a writer.

“ I had an awesome time there. Yesterday was my first Philadelphia Writers meet up. Everyone was so nice and they made me feel welcomed. We did creative exercises, critiqued writer's submissions and networked. It was a very positive experience and I look forward to the next meeting in August.... ”
“ Arriving a half-hour late, I missed hearing the introductions and introducing myself. I found the discussions fascinating, although I was a little puzzled to hear talk about 'hyper-surrealism,' which, for the life of me, I can't figure out. I was reminded, a bit, of that scene in the old film, The Third Man, where Holly, the main character, who made his precarious living writing pulp Westerns in the USA, try to talk to an audience of post-war German intellectuals, and was unable to define what the 'stream of consciousness motivation of his secondary characters' were. Ah, well, next time I'll arrive on time, or early.
Who, within the membership, also publishes in the context of the Kindle e-book?
How does one get a story or chapter of his published book reviewed by the membership? I have an interesting re-telling of an old Sufi teaching story that is amusing ... or perhaps a middle chapter out of the life of Thomas Q. Cattus. ”
