This writers group has been created specifically for those interested in developing their skills through the exercise of short fiction writing. No prior experience is necessary, only the determination to write regularly and the willingness to critique and be critiqued.
Workshops follow this simple format:
You write something for the group. You bring your story to the workshop. You read it aloud, or have someone read it for you. The group critiques your story. You critique the writing of the others.
The aim of this group is to motivate writers lacking community and support as well as develop fundamental skills in the art of story-telling.
Meet-ups are held twice a month on Friday night, downtown Vancouver.
