Announcing the next meeting for The Orange County Writers Critique Group!
What: Huntington Beach Writers

Who should come: This is not a drop-in or occasional group.
Those with clear writing goals looking for helpful support and feedback on a regular basis should come.
This group's strength and focus is the story, through fiction and poetry.
Why: If you want to be a vital part of a dynamic core of talented writing enthusiasts committed to helping each other reach their writing goals through regular meetings and supportive feedback, this is where you sign up. Meeting size is limited.
Meeting Description: And no wonder you don't write and put it off month after month, decade after decade. For when you write, if it is to be any good at all, you must feel free, -- free and not anxious. The only good teachers for you are those friends who love you, who think you are interesting, or very important, or wonderfully funny; whose attitude is:
"Tell me more. Tell me all you can. I want to understand more about everything you feel and know and all the changes inside and outside of you. Let more come out."
And if you have no such friend, -- and you want to write, -- well then you must imagine one.

We are a stable core group that is tuned into one another's writing goals.
We meet every other week in the Huntington Beach area.
We make our work available to group members a week ahead of the meeting, and focus on helpful feedback when we meet in person.
Being part of a regularly meeting writing group will help you meet your writing goals.
