- Hello writers. This group sounds great. I'm sort of shy when it comes to my writing, and I have to cut that out. I've had a couple of stories published, and I'm hoping this will be a good place to give and get feedback and support. Is it?
- What inspires your writing?

Strange, sad, and darkly funny stuff. Crazy images and crazy people and good, chewy language.
- What genre, or area of expertise, is your writing?

I would call it literary fiction, mostly short stories. I'm hoping to get a novel going but I'm a little terrified by it. I think my work leans a bit toward magical realism, or maybe grown-up fairy tales. Not fantasy exactly, but...something.
- Who is your favorite author?

I heart Barbara Kingsolver, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Thomas Hardy, Charles Baxter, David Sedaris, Lori Moore, Hawthorne, Twain, etc., etc.
