Janet Leech (Mar 31, 2007)

"Definitely worth your time. If one is serious about wanting to make progress as a writer, it is essential to belong to a writers group. I have not always heard what I wanted to hear; but then, neither did the poor dear souls who sat through the first couple of drafts of some of my work. I have grown as a writer through attending the meetings. "

Beryl (Mar 31, 2007)

"I may be biased, but this is my favorite Meetup Group. It's the place where Beryl and I met! Many great things happen here, and Russell is a super organizer. He's one of us, discovering and exploring, and willing to try new things. I can't thank him enough for his efforts and for all the wonderful things he's done and accomplished. This group has a lot of heart and a diverse population. But the main thing, is that everyone is serious about what they are doing and has a goal. That's important in any group, as is encouragement... and this group has both. I feel like I'm at home with a warm cozy family who isn't afraid to tell me the truth or sing my praises. Either way, it's all good."

Ms.Croft (Feb 10, 2007)

"I look forward to our next meeting."

Robert R. (Jan 26, 2007)

"The group was very genuine and warm. "

mernoosh (Jan 11, 2007)

Dennis (Nov 22, 2006)

"I think that it will be a good experience for me. I'm hoping that the deadlines will help me sit and write."

Lori (Aug 25, 2006)

"Excellent evening! Thanks, again."

Anthony Harmetz (Apr 17, 2006)

"I like the energy and enthusiasm in this group. The core group is growing and their is always a new face or two. "

Teresa Trujillo (Apr 5, 2006)

"All are welcome. There is variety and good feedback. In the end, it is about individual's and their styles trying to find the right voice and audience, beyond the writer's internal world."

marilyn wilson (Mar 8, 2006)

"It was great! So glad that I went!"

Anna S (Jan 24, 2006)

About this Meetup

We Meetup throughout the month in many locations. Check the Calendar for scheduled meetings.

We critique stories not grammar. Bring your story, get it down, and allow us the privilege of collaborating with you on characterization, plot, suspense, action, tension, conflict, setting, emotion, POV...not dangling participles.

Bring a chapter or around 2,000 words, double spaced, pages numbered, and enough copies for others to make comments on.

Come for all or part.

The group is free!
